Labour Compliance The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on May 08, 2026, issued a notification regarding interest on Delayed Payments under the Code on Social Security, 2020.

The following has been stated:-

•The Central Government has prescribed a simple interest rate of 12% per annum on any contribution or amount payable under the Code on Social Security, 2020.

•The interest will apply from the due date until the actual date of payment by the employer.
