The Government of Karnataka on May 08, 2026, issued the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of Fortified Wine from Grapes) (Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of Fortified Wine from Grapes) Rules, 1968.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of Fortified Wine from Grapes) Rules, 1968, after Rule 7, the following shall be inserted, namely:-
“7-A. Attendance of Officers- Fortified Winery licensee shall be permitted to bottle and dispatch their products 24-hours a day. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall make necessary and adequate Excise staff arrangements”.
