The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on May 11, 2026, amended an older notification No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.) dated April 02, 1997, related to notified customs locations under the Customs Act, 1962.
The following has been stated:-
•The amendment adds Village Namli in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh, to the list of notified customs locations.
•The notified area is authorized for unloading imported goods and loading export goods, including specified classes of goods.
•This step is aimed at facilitating customs operations and improving trade logistics in the region.
