Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) on March 18, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Extension of Synchronization Scheme for co-mingling of domestic gas for supply to CNG (T) & PNG (D) segments of CGD networks and inclusion of CBG injection into Gas Pipeline Network.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The government has expanded the CBG-CGD Synchronization Scheme to allow injection of Compressed Biogas (CBG) directly into the gas pipeline network under the revised Direct Pipeline Injection (DPI) Guidelines dated August 27, 2025. 

• The validity of the Synchronization Scheme has been extended up to December 31, 2047. 

• All earlier guidelines issued will continue to remain applicable unless modified by the new DPI guidelines.
