The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on April 30, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Introduction of Electronic Gold Receipts segment – User id and Connectivity requests.
The following has been stated namely: -
• National Stock Exchange of India Limited issued guidelines for the newly launched Electronic Gold Receipts (EGRs) segment effective from May 04, 2026.
• Members can apply for EGR user ID services such as addition, multilocking, and disablement, and must upload 12-digit CTCL/IBT/DMA/STWT/API terminal details before routing orders to avoid disciplinary action.
• Existing Lease Line IPs can be enabled for the EGR segment with standard allocation of 120 messages per box and 50 users capacity, and no additional message charges will apply during the initial stage.
• NSE clarified that colocation facility will not be available for the EGR segment, and members must not use existing colocation infrastructure for EGR trading.
• Members seeking EGR user IDs must possess valid NISM certifications, including:
o NISM Series-VII: Securities Operations and Risk Management
o NISM Series-XVI: Commodity Derivatives Certification Examination.
