The Government of Gujarat on May 07, 2026, issued the Draft Gujarat Motor Vehicles (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2026, to further amend the Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In rule 3 has been amended namely: -
o In clause (ib), for the words “Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Ahmedabad(East)”, the words “Regional Transport Officer, Ahmedabad(East)” shall be substituted
o In clause (xic), for the words “Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Bardoli”, the words “Regional Transport Officer, Bardoli” shall be substituted
o In clause (xv), for the words “Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Amreli”, the words “Regional Transport Officer, Amreli” shall be substituted
o In clause (xvi), for the words “Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Bharuch”, the words “Regional Transport Officer, Bharuch” shall be substituted
Objection or suggestion may be sent by the Principal Secretary, Ports and Transport Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar before 30 days.
