The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on May 15, 2026, notified regarding the mock trading session on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The Exchange has notified members about a mock trading session scheduled on Saturday, May 16, 2026, to test trading systems and disaster recovery preparedness. The session will begin with a short special session from 02:55 pm to 02:59 pm, followed by mock trading from 03:00 pm to 04:00 pm at the primary site.
During the session, members should note that trading connectivity will be abruptly disconnected between 03:55 pm and 04:00 pm as part of a planned switch to the Disaster Recovery (DR) site. Member login access will remain disabled until migration is completed. Afterward, mock trading will resume at the DR site from 05:00 pm to 06:00 pm, allowing members to test system resilience and continuity.
Members, especially those using CTCL facilities, are encouraged to actively participate using the prescribed MCX Enhanced Trading Interface (ETI) API version 1.4.2. They should also utilize this opportunity to test their systems from their own DR setups. Connectivity for participation is available via existing leased lines, while internet-based users can access the session through their current SSL VPN credentials.
Finally, members are advised to take backups of mock trading data for reconciliation purposes and ensure that proper mechanisms are in place to restore trading systems to their normal production state after the mock session, maintaining overall system integrity.
