Labour ComplianceThe Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on May 12, 2026, issued a circular regarding the Annual Health Check-up Programme for Insured Persons aged 40 and above under the ESI Scheme – Request for Support and Participation.

The following has been stated:-

•The four Labour Codes notified in November 2025 introduced a major reform by mandating free annual health check-ups for workers above 40 years of age.

•In line with this initiative, the Employees' State Insurance Corporation under the Ministry of Labour & Employment launched free Annual Health Check-up Camps for insured persons across India from May 07, 2026.

•The programme provides comprehensive medical examinations, laboratory tests, and consultations free of cost to insured workers above 40 years.

•Its objective is to promote preventive healthcare, enable early detection of non-communicable diseases, and improve the overall well-being of the workforce.

•Employers have been requested to spread awareness about the programme and encourage eligible workers to attend health check-up camps at nearby ESIC and ESIS hospitals.
