Labour ComplianceThe Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on May 08, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Implementation of decisions taken in MoM dated April 23, 2026 regarding Drug Management, Procurement & Compliance.

The following has been stated namely: -

• ESIC has circulated the Minutes of Meeting (MoM) of a video conference held on April 23, 2026 under the Medical Commissioner regarding drug management, procurement, and compliance. 

• All ESIC hospitals are directed to ensure strict, time-bound implementation of key decisions, including appointment of nodal officers and submission of monthly compliance data by the 7th of every month. 

• Hospitals must establish quality drug testing systems, maintain registers, ensure at least 10% drug testing, and implement centralized tracking of drug testing activities. 

• Emphasis has been placed on financial and procurement discipline, including timely payment clearances, strict use of FEFO, maximization of rate contract drugs, and restricted use of local purchases with proper justification. 

• A monthly video conference will be held on the 10th of every month to review compliance, and any deviation from instructions will be viewed seriously.
