The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on April 01, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Revision of Standard for Pulp & Paper Industry.
The following has been stated namely: -
• MoEF&CC has issued revised environmental standards for the pulp & paper industry
• The revised standards will come into force after two years, i.e., from September 04, 2027.
• Pollution control authorities are directed to ensure early planning and implementation of these revised standards within the stipulated timeline.
• The new standards must be incorporated while granting or renewing Consent to Operate (CTO) for all pulp & paper industries.
