The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on May 12, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Implementation services by Investment Advisers in the IFSC.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The circular refers to the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Capital Market Intermediaries) Regulations, 2025, which govern capital market intermediaries including Investment Advisers in IFSC.
• Under Regulation 34(12) and 34(13), Investment Advisers registered with IFSCA are permitted to provide “implementation services” to advisory clients in the securities market, subject to specified conditions.
• “Implementation services” are clarified as services that execute or give effect to investment advice provided by the Investment Adviser.
• Investment Advisers must provide such services only through specified channels depending on the financial product type via Global Access Providers/Introducing Brokers, IFSC exchange members, or regulated platforms/AMCs in foreign jurisdictions.
The circular shall come into force on May 12, 2026.
