BSE introduces mandatory ETI API version 1.6.14 for trading system enhancements across segments

Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on May 15, 2026, informed trading members about proposed enhancements in its trading system requiring implementation of a new ETI API version 1.6.14 across Equity, Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives and Commodity Derivatives segments. The updated API version introduces key changes including addition of a new “Algo ID” field in order and quote mass cancellation messages, incorporation of a new error code relating to debarred clients, and revised identification parameters for Location ID. Members and third-party trading application vendors have been advised to undertake necessary system development and integration changes in their trading applications.

The Exchange further notified that the revised ETI API version will be made available for testing in the simulation environment from May 26, 2026. The enhancements will go live in the Equity segment from June 22, 2026, with mock trading scheduled on June 20, 2026, while implementation for Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives and Commodity Derivatives segments will take effect from June 29, 2026, with mock trading scheduled on June 27, 2026.
