Commercial ComplianceThe Government of Karnataka, on May 14, 2026, issued the Karnataka Special Investment Region (Amendment) Rules, 2026, to further amend the Karnataka Special Investment Region Rules, 2023.

The following has been stated: 

In the Karnataka Special Investment Region Rules, 2023, in Rule 12, after sub-rule (1), the following shall be inserted, namely: “(1-A) The Regional Development Authority shall ensure that property tax collections and related accounts are maintained in electronic form and e-Khata or e-Swathu or e-Aasthi, as the case may be, is opened in respect of every property and e-Khata or e-Swathu or eAasthi certificate, as the case may be, shall be issued to every Khata holder or property holder by the Regional Development Authority.”
