Finance & Taxation Compliance The Finance Department, Govt. of Maharashtra on May 14, 2026, issued the amendment to the Maharashtra Value Added Tax, 2002.

It has amended Schedule ‘B’ under Section 9. Through this amendment, the rate mentioned in Entry 6 of Schedule ‘B’ has been reduced from 18% to 7%. The revised rate will be applicable for a temporary period from May 15, 2026, to November 14, 2026. This amendment provides a concessional tax rate for the specified goods covered under Entry 6 during the notified period.
