The Government of Rajasthan on May 13, 2026, mandates Aadhaar & Jan-Aadhaar Authentication for PDU-GMGY Benefits.
The Government of Rajasthan has made Aadhaar and Jan-Aadhaar authentication mandatory for beneficiaries of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gram Yojana (PDU-GMGY), which provides an incentive of ₹21,000 and a self-reliant family card to eligible families rising above the poverty line. This move aims to ensure transparency, efficiency, and seamless delivery of benefits.
Beneficiaries must either authenticate using Aadhaar and Jan-Aadhaar or provide proof of possession. Those not yet enrolled are required to apply for enrolment. Until IDs are issued, benefits can still be accessed using alternative valid documents, with separate provisions for children and adults, including proof of age, identity, and relationship with guardians.
The government will facilitate enrolment by setting up centers and coordinating with authorities, while also ensuring wide publicity of these requirements. In cases where biometric authentication fails, alternative methods such as OTP or offline verification using Aadhaar QR code or e-KYC will be used.
Importantly, no eligible child will be denied benefits due to lack of Aadhaar or authentication failure, and exception handling mechanisms are provided to ensure genuine adult beneficiaries are not excluded. The notification comes into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
