Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) on May 18, 2026, issued a reminder for the submission of the Half-Yearly Internal Audit Report for clearing members (ITC & PCM) – March 31, 2026.

The following has been stated:

It has reminded Clearing Members (ITCM & PCM) undertaking clearing activities during the period October 01, 2025, to March 31, 2026, that they are required to conduct an Internal Audit and submit the audit report to MCXCCL. As per SEBI’s directions aimed at improving ease of compliance and reducing operational challenges, only auditors empanelled with any Exchange(s) shall be eligible to conduct the internal audit of Clearing Members across Clearing Corporations. Members are also required to comply with the auditor appointment and rotation norms prescribed under SEBI circular dated September 26, 2016.

The due date for submission of the Internal Audit Report for the half year ended March 31, 2026, is May 31, 2026. Members must submit the report through the Member Reporting Portal (MRP) of MCXCCL and also via email to [email protected] with the prescribed subject line format. The detailed submission process is available in the MCXCCL circular dated April 20, 2026. Further, penalties or disciplinary actions for delayed or non-submission of the report, as well as for non-compliances observed in the audit report, shall be applicable as per the relevant MCXCCL circulars and master circular. Members are advised to take note of the requirements and ensure timely compliance.
