The Department of Information Technology, Government of NCT of Delhi, on May 19, 2026, issued directions regarding the use of UIDAI’s LITE Code Facilities.
The following has been stated:-
•The Government of NCT of Delhi informed all departments about the Unique Identification Authority of India guidelines on the use of the LITE Code framework for Sub-AUAs/Sub-KUAs with fewer than one lakh Aadhaar authentication transactions in the last year.
•Such entities have been advised to map with their parent AUA/KUA under the LITE Code framework and surrender existing Sub-AUA/Sub-KUA facilities.
•UIDAI has also requested that future low-volume authentication schemes be onboarded only through the LITE Code framework.
