Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on May 20, 2026, issued a circular regarding the Liquidity Enhancement Scheme in Mumbai Rainfall (Symbol: RAINMUMBAI) Futures Contracts.

The following has been stated:-

•Securities and Exchange Board of India has issued guidelines under the Commodity Derivatives Segment Master Circular for introducing Liquidity Enhancement Schemes (LES) in commodity derivative contracts. 

•Pursuant to this, the Exchange has launched an LES for Mumbai Rainfall Futures contracts (Symbol: RAINMUMBAI) to promote market participation and liquidity. 

•Interested applicants can submit bids for the role of Designated Market Maker (DMM) between May 20 and May 21, 2026, in the prescribed password-protected format. 

•The Exchange will select DMMs through a competitive bidding process based on the grading criteria specified in Annexure I. 

•The appointed DMMs will continue under the scheme subject to fulfillment of all obligations, while the Exchange retains the right to amend or discontinue the scheme with 15 days’ prior notice.
