Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on May 20, 2026, issued circular regarding the Availing of Voice broking services by IBUs from TechFin and Ancillary Service Providers registered with IFSCA.

The circular clarifies that International Banking Units (IBUs) are permitted to use voice broking services, in line with Module 5 of the IFSCA Banking Handbook (Conduct of Business Directions v6.0). A voice broker is defined as an entity that facilitates transactions by connecting buyers and sellers of financial assets.

It further states that entities registered as TechFin and Ancillary Service Providers under the IFSCA (TechFin and Ancillary Services) Regulations, 2025 are authorized to offer voice broking services.

Accordingly, IBUs may avail such services only from registered TechFin/Ancillary Service Providers, subject to compliance with conditions specified in Module 5.

The guidance has been issued under the IFSCA Act, 2019 and is effective immediately.
