Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on May 21, 2026, notified regarding the Withdrawal of circulars about the implementation of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for Lead, Lead mini, Nickel, Zinc, Zinc Mini, Aluminium, Alumini, and Copper Futures Contracts.

The following has been stated:

• NSE has withdrawn earlier circulars relating to the implementation of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for Aluminium, Copper, Lead, Nickel, and Zinc futures contracts after the Ministry of Mines withdrew the corresponding QCO notifications. Consequently, the original quality specifications and additional deliverable grades applicable before QCO implementation will be restored for Lead, Lead Mini, Nickel, Zinc, Zinc Mini, Aluminium, Alumini, and Copper futures contracts.

• The revised provisions will become effective from June 1, 2026, for contracts expiring in June 2026 and onwards. NSE has also issued updated annexures detailing the modified quality specifications and acceptable deliverable grades for the affected commodity futures contracts.
