Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), on May 21, 2026, issued an advisory informing taxpayers and stakeholders about proposed functional enhancements in the E-Way Bill (EWB) portal aimed at improving data quality, traceability and operational efficiency within the EWB system.

The proposed changes include mandatory capture of “Ship-To GSTIN” in Bill-To Ship-To transactions to enhance traceability and ensure better data accuracy.
