The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on May 18, 2026, issued a notification regarding the declaration of a paid holiday for the Rohru Municipal Council Elections.
The following has been stated:-
•The Government of Himachal Pradesh has declared May 22, 2026 (Friday) as a paid public holiday within the territorial jurisdiction of Municipal Council Rohru for election purposes.
•All government offices, educational institutions, industrial establishments, shops, and commercial establishments in the concerned area will remain closed, including establishments covered under the Industrial Disputes Act.
•Employees working elsewhere in the state but registered to vote in Rohru Municipal Council may avail special casual leave upon submission of voting confirmation from the Presiding Officer.
