The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on May 21, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Environmental Management Systems.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be May 14, 2026 -
• IS/ISO 14001 : 2026 Environmental Management Systems — Requirements with Guidance for Use (Third Revision).
• IS 19756 : 2026 Benchmarking of Environmental Monitoring Services — Guidelines.
• IS 19766 (Part 2) : 2026 ISO 21928-2 : 2023 Sustainability in Buildings and Civil Engineering Works — Sustainability Indicators Part 2 Framework for the Development of Indicators for Civil Engineering Works.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be November 14, 2026: -
• IS/ISO 14001 : 2015 Environmental Management Systems — Requirements with Guidance for Use (Second Revision).
