Labour ComplianceThe Government of Goa on May 21, 2026, canceled the Paid Holiday for Arpora Nagoa Panchayat Bye-Election.

The following has been stated:

• The Government has cancelled the paid holiday earlier notified for May 24, 2026, by notification no. 2/2/2010-GAD-III/Vol.I/2049, dated May 19, 2026, in connection with the bye-election to Ward No. III of Village Panchayat Arpora Nagoa.

• The decision follows the declaration by the Goa State Election Commission that no bye-election would be held as the candidate was elected unopposed. Consequently, the paid holiday announced for voters on the scheduled polling day now stands withdrawn.
