The National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) on May 20, 2026, notified regarding the Activation of ISINs of Electronic Gold Receipts.
The following has been stated:
• The Exchange has informed participants that multiple ISINs have been activated for the dematerialisation of Electronic Gold Receipts (EGRs), with details communicated to NSDL.
• These ISINs represent gold-based instruments of 999 and 995 purity, available in various denominations ranging from 100 grams to 1 milligram trading units, enabling flexible trading and settlement sizes. The instruments include NG-GOLD-EGR units across multiple ISINs with varying deposit and trading quantities to facilitate efficient participation in the EGR segment.
• The activation of these ISINs allows investors to convert and trade gold holdings in dematerialised form on exchanges, improving liquidity, standardisation, and ease of trading in the EGR segment.
