Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), on May 21, 2026, issued a circular clarifying the applicability of the fee structure prescribed under the “Fee structure for the entities undertaking or intending to undertake permissible activities in IFSC or persons seeking guidance under the Informal Guidance Scheme” circular dated March 2, 2026, to existing Ancillary Service Providers (ASPs) and existing TechFin entities operating in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).

The clarification has been issued with reference to the International Financial Services Centres Authority (TechFin and Ancillary Services) Regulations, 2025, particularly Regulation 4, which permits existing ASPs and TechFin entities to continue operations under the earlier framework until grant of registration under the TAS Regulations. IFSCA has clarified that the fee structure applicable to TAS Providers under the March 2, 2026 Fee Circular will also apply to such existing entities continuing operations under the transition framework notified on July 31, 2025.

As a one-time measure, IFSCA has permitted existing ASPs and TechFin entities to remit the applicable fees for Financial Year 2026-27 on or before May 31, 2026, in the manner specified under the Fee Circular. The circular has been issued under Section 12 of the International Financial Services Centres Authority Act, 2019 read with Regulation 15 of the TAS Regulations and has come into force with immediate effect. The circular is available on the official website of IFSCA.
