The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on May 20, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Eextension of Compliance Timelines for Selected Standards in BIS Schedule
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued an amendment to earlier Government of India notifications published in the Gazette under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
• The amendment is issued under Rule 15(1) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018 and updates previously notified schedules.
• For Sl. No. 02 and 05, the deadline/date in column (5) has been changed from April 08, 2026 to October 08, 2026.
• For Sl. No. 04, the date in column (5) has been revised from April 08, 2026 to September 24, 2026.
• These changes modify the compliance timelines specified in earlier BIS notifications, effectively extending the applicable dates.
