Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Coal on May 18, 2026, issued the Coal Mines Pension (Amendment) Scheme, 2026 to further amend the Coal Mines Pension Scheme, 1998.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In the Coal Mines Pension Scheme, 1998, in paragraph 12, after sub-para (4), the following subparagraph shall be inserted, namely:- 

“(5) The revised pension amount for pensioners under Coal Mines Family Pension Scheme, 1971 shall be one thousand Rupee per month”.
