The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on May 22, 2026, issued notification regarding the Launch of online module for issuance of Certificate of Origin (CoO) for Agarwood on Trade Connect Platform.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has introduced an online module on the Trade Connect ePlatform (TCeP) for issuing Certificates of Origin (CoO) for Agarwood exports, in line with the Foreign Trade Policy’s objective of enhancing transparency, traceability, and ease of doing business.
The module provides a single-window digital system where exporters can apply online, submit required documents (such as origin details, stock, and inspection records), and track application status. Applications are digitally routed to the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) for verification and inspection, and then to the State Nodal Officer for final approval. Once approved, the CoO is issued electronically, ensuring a paperless and transparent workflow.
The system also includes onboarding provisions for DFOs and State Nodal Officers, requiring registration and use of digital signatures for authentication. Exporters can use existing DGFT login credentials, and a verification feature is available on the platform to check the authenticity of issued CoOs.
Stakeholders are advised to start using this module from May 25, 2026, and support is available via DGFT helpdesk (toll-free and email). The initiative aims to reduce physical interaction, improve compliance with international norms (including CITES), and streamline export procedures.
