EHS Compliance The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on May 22, 2026, notified regarding the Enforcement of Amendments to Cantonments Act, 2006 under Jan Vishwas Act, 2026.

The Central Government has notified that specific amendments to the Cantonments Act, 2006—introduced through the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026—have come into effect. These amendments, listed against serial number 63 in the Schedule of the Act, are effective from the date of publication of this notification, as per the powers conferred under Section 1(2) of the Act.
