The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on May 22, 2026, issued direction to ISPs for Blocking Websites under Delhi High Court Order.
All Internet Service Licensees have been directed to comply with the JioStar India Private Limited vs. Abbasi TV & Ors. case order issued by the Delhi High Court dated March 25, 2026. As per the court’s directions (Paras 37 & 38) and additional lists submitted by the plaintiff, ISPs must block access to five specified websites/domains.
Licensees are instructed to take immediate action to restrict access to these identified platforms in accordance with the court order, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
