The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) issued a directive to all licensees holding Internet Service Authorization pursuant to orders passed by the High Court of Delhi in CS(COMM) 427 of 2025: The Football Association Premier League Limited v. Yoghurt TV & Ors dated May 07, 2025, and April 15, 2026.
Under the directive, DoT enclosed the Court’s orders along with a list of 24 identified websites/domains associated with Defendant Nos. 24 to 30 alleged to be involved in unauthorised streaming and distribution of copyrighted Premier League content. Licensees were instructed to immediately block access to the listed websites/domains in compliance with Paragraph 34(i) of the Court orders to curb digital piracy and protect exclusive broadcasting rights.
