The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) issued a directive to all licensees holding Internet Service Authorization pursuant to orders passed by the High Court of Delhi in CS(COMM) No. 89/2026: JioStar India Private Limited vs. GHD Sports & Ors dated January 30, 2026, and 15 April 15, 2026.
As part of the directive, DoT enclosed the Court’s orders and a list of 128 websites/domains identified in the litigation for alleged unauthorised streaming and dissemination of copyrighted sports content. Referring to Paragraphs 36 and 37 of the order dated 30 January 2026 and Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the order dated April 15, 2026, licensees were directed to take immediate action to block access to the listed domains in compliance with the judicial directions.
