Labour Compliance The Government of Meghalaya on May 21, 2026, notified regarding the revised Bakrid Holiday Date to May 28, 2026.

It states that the holiday, earlier scheduled for May 27, 2026, under both the General Holidays list and Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, will now be observed on May 28, 2026. All concerned offices, institutions, and establishments are required to treat May 28, 2026, as the official holiday for Bakrid instead of the previously notified date.
