The National Dental Commission (NDC) on May 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding the provisions of UGC guidelines and UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.
The following has been stated:-
•All dental colleges have been directed to strictly follow the 2009 anti-ragging regulations issued by the University Grants Commission and the Dental Council of India.
•College management and principals must ensure a safe and peaceful environment for UG and PG dental students.
•Necessary steps must be taken to prevent, prohibit, and curb all forms of ragging within dental institutions.
•The directions are applicable for conducting Anti-Ragging Programmes from the academic session 2025–26 onward.
