Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Finance, Goa, on May 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding the withdrawal of Liquor Restrictions for the Arpora Nagao Bye-Election Ward.

The following has been stated:-

•The Goa Government has withdrawn restrictions on the transport and possession of liquor for Ward No. III of Arpora Nagao in Bardez Taluka.

•The restrictions were earlier imposed due to bye-elections in certain village panchayat wards.

•The decision was taken after the State Election Commission Goa confirmed that the candidate for the ward was elected unopposed and no polling would take place.

•Accordingly, liquor restrictions will now continue only for the remaining notified election areas.
