The following has been stated:

It has been announced that all offices under the Government of Assam, including Revenue and Magisterial Courts, shall remain closed on 28th May 2026. Further, all Banks and Financial Institutions in the State shall also remain closed on the said date under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
