The NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd. (NBBL) on May 22, 2026, notified regarding the Non-Compliance with the Advisory concerning BPCL Gas Booking Transactions.
The following has been stated:
• It has reiterated mandatory compliance requirements for BPCL LPG gas booking transactions across all BBPS front-end platforms, following its advisory dated May 7, 2026. It has instructed all Operating Units to ensure that LPG bookings are processed only through the “Registered Contact Number” linked with the LPG ID. The registered mobile number must be automatically picked from the customer’s app login credentials and should remain non-editable at the front end.
• As some Operating Units are yet to implement the required changes, BBPS has directed strict adherence to the advisory and asked Central Operating Units (COUs) to coordinate with their respective Agent Institutions (AIs) and confirm compliance by May 26, 2026.
• BBPS has further warned that continued non-compliance may lead to restriction of LPG booking transactions for BPCL across non-compliant platforms from May 27, 2026, onwards.
