The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MoCA) on May 25, 2026, issued a notification regarding the commencement date of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2026.
The following has been stated:-
•The Central Government has notified May 26, 2026, as the effective date for bringing into force several key provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2026.
•The notification operationalises multiple amendments covering sections 2–72 of the Act, with certain specified exclusions under sections 34 and 70.
