Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on May 26, 2026, notified regarding the Transaction Charges – Mumbai Rainfall Futures Contract (Symbol: RAINMUMBAI).

The following has been stated:

• It has clarified the transaction charges applicable to the newly launched Mumbai Rainfall Futures contracts (Symbol: RAINMUMBAI), which are scheduled to commence trading from May 29, 2026.

• The Exchange stated that while the standard transaction charge for futures contracts is ₹5.8 per lakh of turnover value, Mumbai Rainfall Futures contracts will attract a concessional transaction charge of ₹2.9 per lakh of turnover value up to September 30, 2026.

• From October 1, 2026 onwards, the regular transaction charge of ₹5.8 per lakh of turnover value will become applicable. NCDEX has also reserved the right to revise the transaction charge structure in the future after notifying members.
