The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has issued a notification regarding a revision in the FATCA/UBO file structure applicable to the BSE StAR Mutual Fund platform.
The following has been stated:
Members are informed that the Registrar and Transfer Agents (RTAs) are revising the FATCA/UBO reporting structure by introducing 17 additional fields, modifications in certain existing fields, and additional validation requirements.
The revised structure includes:
Addition of 17 new fields in the FATCA/UBO file format.
New validation rules for fields including PO_BIR_INC, CO_BIR_INC, UBO_PAN, LOG_NAME, and NPO_RGNO.
Mandatory submission of the “TIN NA Declaration Form” where “NA” is selected under ID1_TYPE, ID2_TYPE, ID3_TYPE, or ID4_TYPE.
The aforesaid changes shall be applicable across the User Interface (UI), bulk file upload utility, and APIs available on the BSE StAR MF platform.
The scheduled go-live date for implementation is August 31, 2026. The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) deployment date shall be communicated separately.
Members using third-party vendor solutions or in-house developed applications are advised to complete the required development, integration, and testing activities within the prescribed timelines to ensure smooth implementation.
