The National Dental Commission in May 2026 issued a communication to all dental institutions and concerned universities directing strict compliance with regulatory circulars issued under the National Dental Commission Act, 2023 for maintaining standards of dental education and teaching.
The Commission specifically referred to two earlier circulars uploaded on the NDC website: the circular dated May 11, 2026 regarding maintenance and regular updating of college websites, and the circular dated April 22, 2026 concerning maintenance of biometric attendance records for faculty members and students. Institutions have been instructed to comply with these directions in both letter and spirit.
The NDC further warned that failure to comply with the prescribed requirements may invite regulatory action under Section 25 of the National Dental Commission Act, 2023. The directions have been issued to strengthen transparency, monitoring, and academic governance in dental institutions across the country.
