The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on May 29, 2026, announced a mock trading session for the Equity Derivatives Segment to be conducted on May 30, 2026 from both the Primary Site (PR) and Disaster Recovery Site (DR). The exercise is intended to enable trading members, including those using third-party trading platforms and ETI API-based systems, to test trading applications and functionalities such as risk-reduction mode, trading halts, and exceptional market conditionsThe mock session will commence with login from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by pre-open and continuous trading from the Primary Site until 12:00 PM. After a switchover to the Disaster Recovery Site, a second pre-open session and continuous trading will be conducted from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM, with trade modification scheduled at 3:00 PM.
BSE clarified that the exercise is solely for testing and familiarization purposes. Trades executed during the mock session will not attract margin requirements, settlement obligations, pay-in/pay-out obligations, or create any legal rights and liabilities. Trading members have been encouraged to actively participate and provide feedback on the session to help enhance system robustness and operational efficiency.
