BSE Mock Trading Session for Equity Segment

Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange ( (BSE), on May 29, 2026, announced a mock trading session for the Equity Segment to be conducted on May 30, 2026 from both the Primary Site (PR) and Disaster Recovery Site (DR). The mock session is intended to enable trading members, including those using third-party trading platforms, to test trading applications and market functionalities such as call auction sessions, risk-reduction mode, trading halts, block deals, settlement auctions, and other exceptional market conditions. 

The session schedule includes login from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM, a Morning Block Deal Window, Pre-Open Sessions, and Continuous Trading for both T+1 and T+0 settlement cycles from the Primary Site. Following a switchover to the Disaster Recovery Site, additional pre-open and continuous trading sessions, settlement auctions, an Afternoon Block Deal Window, closing session, post-closing session, and trade modification windows will be conducted. The exercise is designed to validate business continuity arrangements and trading system readiness across both sites. 

BSE has clarified that the mock trading session is conducted solely for testing and familiarization purposes. Trades executed during the exercise will not attract margin obligations, settlement obligations, pay-in/pay-out requirements, or create any legal rights and liabilities. Trading members have been requested to participate actively and provide feedback on the session to assist the Exchange in enhancing system robustness and operational efficiency.
