The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on May 29, 2026, issued a notification regarding fixation of retail price for 16 pharmaceutical formulations.
The following has been stated:-
•The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), exercising powers under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, has fixed retail prices for 16 pharmaceutical formulations.
•The notified products include cardiovascular, anti-allergic, antibiotic, nutritional, vitamin, gastrointestinal, and pain-relief medicines in tablet, suspension, oral solution, and gel forms.
•Retail prices have been specified on a per-unit basis and are exclusive of applicable GST.
•Manufacturers and marketing companies must comply with the notified ceiling retail prices for the listed formulations.
