The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on May 22, 2026, notified regarding the Implementation of mandatory Aadhar-based identification/authentication of beneficiaries under Section 142 of the Code on Social Security, 2020.
The communication directs all regional and field offices to implement and ensure compliance with the provisions of the relevant Labour Code as conveyed by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment, through its letter dated May 17, 2026. The officers concerned, including Regional Directors, Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, and other field units, have been instructed to widely publicize the provisions among beneficiaries and employers and facilitate their immediate implementation.
