The Finance Department, Rajasthan on April 17, 2026, issued the amendment to the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Serial no. 63 of the Sub-section 9.1 of the Scheme, definition of "Renewables Manufacturing" shall be substituted by the following, namely: -
“’Renewables Manufacturing’ means a sector comprising enterprises engaged in manufacturing (not assembling) of Solar modules, Solar PV cells, Integrated Solar cells and modules, Semiconductors, Storage batteries used in storing solar power and solar electric charging equipment”
• Sub-section 9.1 of the Scheme, following new entry shall be inserted between the existing entry number 55 and 56, namely: -
“55A."Solar Module Manufacturing" is the industrial process involving layering and interconnection of photovoltaic cells into a complete module. It requires interconnecting cells to enable conductivity; integration of tempered/toughened glass, encapsulant material, cell strings and lamination; followed by attachment of a frame and junction box with diodes and electrical terminals to form the installable Module”
