Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Madhya Pradesh on May 26, 2026, issued a notification regarding voluntary Aadhaar authentication to verify the identities of applicants, leaseholders, transporters, and other stakeholders involved in mining activities.

The following has been stated:-

•The Mineral Resource Department of Madhya Pradesh has authorized voluntary Aadhaar authentication to verify the identities of applicants, leaseholders, transporters, and other stakeholders involved in mining activities. 

•Aadhaar-based verification will support automation of processes such as lease management, mineral exploration, and related administrative functions. 

•The department must obtain explicit consent before Aadhaar authentication and cannot deny services to individuals who refuse or are unable to authenticate through Aadhaar.

•Alternative identity documents, including PAN Card, Voter ID, Ration Card, and Passport, remain valid for verification.

•The notification takes effect from May 26, 2026.
