EHS ComplianceThe Department of Drinking Water, Goa, on May 29, 2026, issued Mandatory Registration Guidelines for Potable Water Tankers.

The following has been stated:-

•The Government of Goa has mandated registration of all water tankers supplying drinking water with the Department of Drinking Water (DDW). 

•Registered tankers must meet prescribed standards, including stainless-steel lining, Legal Metrology calibration, GPS tracking, QR code display, and annual renewal requirements. 

•DDW will conduct regular and surprise water quality tests, with results made publicly available to ensure safe drinking water supply. 

•Tankers found violating the guidelines or operating without registration may face de-registration and legal action. 

•The new framework aims to improve transparency, water quality monitoring, and accountability in the potable water tanker sector.
