•The Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Haryana, has notified the 'Haryana AVGC-XR Policy-2026' to position the state as a premier destination for the digital and creative industries.
•Valid for a period of five years, this strategic policy aims to tap into the high-growth Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality sectors. Positioned within the National Capital Region, Haryana seeks to leverage its robust IT/ITeS infrastructure to establish shared facilities, incubation centers, and specialized AVGC parks.
•Aligned with the national focus on the "Orange Economy," the framework introduces structured CAPEX and OPEX fiscal incentives to heavily support registered startups, local content production, and original intellectual property creation.
•Through deeper industry-academia integration and talent development, the policy addresses prevailing skill gaps to securely integrate Haryana into global entertainment and digital value chains.
